Driveshaft removal question
Just a quick question about removing the driveshaft from the pinion flange.
Instructions in the chilton manual say to mark the relationship of the end of the drive shaft to the pinion flange. I dont understand why you need to do this......its seems like there is only one way that the driveshaft can fit in the flange (or 2 ways if you count turning it 180 degrees).
Right? I mean the shaft yoke and the pinion flange (because of the shape of the U-joint) should always fit at 90 degrees to eachother.
I just dont want to create more bullsh-t for myself when reassembling.
