26 spline to 28 spline axles

I have a 10 bolt rear disk, non-posi with 3.23 gears and 26 spline from an 85 iroc. I am going to be putting a posi in it but was wondering what I needed to do to change over to a 28 spline setup. I know I can find 28 spline axles from a newer iroc and also a diff. from a posi car. But is there anything else that would have to be changed, such as bearings to compensate for a bigger axle? I was going to put a a 9 bolt rear but I am having doubts, due to the fact that they are rare and expensive to fix if it were to break down. And I also heard that ring and pinions aren't exactly cheap to do on those 9 bolts? If anyone can give there advice, its appreciated. Thanks

Anthony

To convert a 82-89 26 spline 10 bolt diff to 28 spline you need a 28 spline carrier (posi) and 28 spline axles from a 90-92 third gen or aftermarket 28 spline axles.

any other pieces that have to be changed. Are the bearings the same, or are they different?

Everything else is the same

Positraction (AKA...Posi) is a Limited Slip for your information. Look for RPO G80=Limited Slip for 3rd/4th Gen Camaro/Firebirds.
