What to cut for the T-56 to fit.....

Ok so the tranny is in the car and it is bolted up. Now I am wondering what you guys have had to do to get it to all bolt up. Like cutting the floorpan, re-drilling for the new hydros and stuff. I have a general idea, I just was curiouse if anyone could give me more detail on the situation. I have all the parts I need.

Also one last quick thing. Where do you get the little plastic buttins that keep the shaft mounted to the pedal? I tried the dealer and they could only give me one that didn't seem to fit right. Well it fit for the old T-5. Also I need one for the brake booster. They don't seem to have this. Does anyone (there must be someplace)? Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I guess it goes in just as I thought. I just have 1 Q for anyone out there that has gone from T-5 to T-56 and is using new 4th gen hydros...Did you guys have some kind of aluminum spacer btween the slave and the bellhousing?

thx.

Yes there is an aluminum spacer that fits between the long bolts extending from the bellhousing.
It was included on the trans I bought but was loose (easily lost). As I recall, the slave pinches the spacer between itself and the bellhousing.
I have no part number for you, though.
S-D

What trans are you using? 2.971st or 2.66 first?
Reason I ask is that I have the 2.66 1st gear and a 3.08 rear end and it is geared way low (numerically).

I am not sure what my first gear is. I have the info at home. It is out of a 94 TA. But either way I have a crazy 4.11 rear gear for the street so I sould be fine
