Found limits of 700R4

Found limits of 700R4

And it's somewhere below 460 ft/lbs !!

Third gear took a dump on me this morning on the way to work. Then 1 & 2 on the way home. Tried to limp in home in 2nd gear but no doings. lol, time to build that spare I have. I knew it wouldn't last long but I was hoping to get more than that out of it! Fluid was fine before I left, 3rd burnt up just driving normal. O well, gotta pay to play.

Gotta remember these things burn up behind a 150HP 305

Not exactly the choice for a bulletproof trans lol

It was a stock trans man, I knew it wouldn't last long. Just enough to drive the car until I get the spare built.

Ys, but i wouldnt have even left the driveway with a stock 700R4 behind a doggy 350 let alone a 383 lol

Good for you.

Had to get it mobile b/c cold weather was coming and I didn't want to have to push it in and out of the garage to work on it. No biggie, not like it's my daily anyhow. It'll be mobile again this weekend.

They will burn up behind a 120 HP 2.8 with no torque when stock.
