I cannot understand why my tranny isn't shifting rite I just finished some mods to the motor minor bolts ons nothing major just trying to get it to breathe. The car was in my garage for the duration of a few months due to the lack of time to do the projects. The car shifted fine when it was parked and now it'slipping in between drive and overdrive almost like theres no difference in the two and 2nd and 3rd is the same if you give it very much go peddle at all I have checked and checked again the fluid level its fine the TV cable I've adjusted it twice both times to no avail. the only thing I did to it was change the fluid and filter, the old fluid wasn't burnt and of still good color no metal in the pan or nothing. I've been waiting for months to get my toy running I get it running. and My Duramax diesel dually will blow the doors off it whats up?

 

When you changed the filter did you make sure that the original O-ring seal came out with it? Or that it was definitely removed before putting the new filter in with the new O-ring seal?

And the new filter seated into the pump.

What's the best method to get that o-ring out? I've changed 2 filters and had no luck getting out the o-ring from the old filter.
