What the ??Engine keeps going! Need help
So here is what happend I was coming back from dropping my girlfriend off at her house, on my way home I was near my house.. then something happend.
I came to a stop, and stoped (It is raining both light and hard showers at random times here in socal) I then step on the gas kinda hard and the wheels start spinning and then I step on the brake and the camaro is still going as if im stepping on the gas hard and hear the engine and transmission working very hard and loud!!! and then go into Panic mode and try to go to Nuetral then park and the transmission makes some loud *** noise so then I finally hold down the brakes and put the car in park and turn off the car real fast. And then turn on my emergency lights and call my brother he doesnt answer. So then I wait there for like 5 minutes and decide to turn the car back on and so I did.
The Car turns on and I drive off like nothing has happend everything is running smoothly. Something did happend? I didnt hydro plane I know that. Could the transmission gone out of gear or something because of the wet tires not grabbing could this cause something wierd like this to happend?

replace it or lube it...mine has done the same thing... i found the cable had cut a groove in the housing at one of the bends and was stopping it from moving freely (it was a cable for a v6 which is a little too long)

why do i always read on here where people with a stuck throttle or some similar thing put there car in park to stop? it will definitly work but neutral + brakes will do the same thing but not destroy your trans. it may take the strain once or twice but it will do damage. at the least it will shorten the life of you trans and rear. if ya throw it in neutral then hit the key to shut it off that is the best thing you could do or even just shut it off and use the resistance of the engine to slow you down. I have had the throttle stick on me in 3 different cars for different reasons and all you have to do is turn it off, put it in neutral, and pull off the road.
