Suggestions on building my WC T5 to handle 400lb/fts
Everything for my motor has been ordered. When it is done I will be somewhere in the ball park for 400 lb/fts give or take a few.
Its safe to say that as soon as I start tearing up the streets my stock WC T5 isnt going to be long for the world.
What options do I have to build this tranny up to handle the extra torque? What am I looking at for $ to make this happen?
I have checked out a Tremec swap and also a T56 swap. Now I want to compare those costs to just building up my current tranny.
Any input/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There are stronger internals available from G-Force, although I think there is only 1 guy around here that has them. They cost about a grand I think, if you buy them and build it yourself. Some other people claim that they can't hold up, but they are rated for like 500ft-lbs.

the other problem is that the case flexes alot too, so there is a couple things you can do, a stronger bearing support and other stuff i can' think of. a search on the internet can get you the details, or even here on thirdgen.
bottom line is pretty much either the g-force gears, or a new TKO-500/600 for around the same price. T-56 adds another 400-500 bux, plus somewhat more complexity on top of that.
the nice thing about the g-force is that the trans is light, and fits in the factory spot. the other two require minor stuff to make em fit.
