Swapping a 10 bolt for a 9 bolt

Swapping a 10 bolt for a 9 bolt
I've been planning on swapping my 10 bolt for a 4th gen rear, but recently have decided I want to run wheels that don't look like they're for a FWD.
Today, I came across a 1LE 9 bolt with 12" brakes and aluminim calipers and 3.45 gears. On the face of it, this looks like a perfect swap for me; my 10 bolt has 3.42 gears and that's the ratio I want to stay with.
Does anyone know if this will be a DIRECT swap? I just got an aluminum 4th gen driveshaft, had it balanced and new h/d u-joints put in. Will it be a direct swap?
Also, I'm assuming the 1LE rear brakes would be near the top of the list of rear brake choices. Am I correct? I plan on swapping to C5 front brakes at a later date.
And finally, will the 12" 1LE rotors clear my stock 16" WS6 wheels? I plan on running them for awhile, at least.

Yes, everything will be a direct swap, except for one thing: Unless you currently have PBR disc brakes, you will probably need to change e-brake cables.. Your wheels will fit.

When I swapped from a '91 drum brake axle to an '89 9-bolt, the brake line on the 9-bolt attached right onto the brake line on the body. Worst case scenario is he would have to figure out how to adapt his hardline to the new axle's lines.

Along these lines when you change the fluid in the 9 bolt you're swapping in what are you going to use?I did a search as to whether or not to use the limited slip additive with a 9 bolt posi.I'm confused somewhat, well more than usual,as to what fluid would be best when I service the 9 bolt posi on my '83.The factory aluminum tag that says use only limited slip fluid is still attached which makes it more confusing from the info i've read.
