will a 10 bolt from an 86 TA bolt up the same as the stock 10 bolt in my 87 Camaro? I would think that it would be the same, but i just want to make sure. also, if it makes a difference, it currently has drum brakes, and the potential new rearend has disc brakes.

They are direct swaps but there were differences as far as brakes (Iron/Alum Drum, Iron Caliper, PBR Caliper), differentials (open or posi), and axle splines (26 spline or 28 spline).

mine currently has an open differential and 2.73 gears. the rearend i'm considering buying has 3.73 gears and a posi, which is the main reason for switching. also i'm pretty sure they are both 26 spline axles. basically i assumed it would be the same but thought i should probably make sure before buying it.

If that was a factory 3.73 then its a G92 rearend, go for it.
