i have a 83 ta with a 700r4 trans and every time the car sits for more than a day or two to trans leaves a huge puddle of trans fluid. i suspect the front pump seal?? i highly doubt the pan gasket. i have resealed it a number of times suspecting that. any other ideas highly appreciated!

 

Fill tube O-ring, cracked pan

Quarter car wash it, diesel-fuel it first ("Engine Cleaner"); let it sit for a bit in the bay; look for where it first starts to appear
