it's on a car i'm working on at work (94 camaro). in order to get the trans out you have to pull the clutch fork out of the throw out brg.. the fork would not pull out until i had the tranny loose, and the bell housing loose , then with everything loose and kinked around i could get a wrench in there to loosen the bolt on the fork so that it would pull out of the t.o.brg.
seems that there should b a easier way. with the fork bolted down it will not go over the detents in the fork to pull it out , or put it in!

that pic is good on the trans and the clutch . but the pic of the fork and ball is for a push style clutch. the fork has a slot in it that a pivot goes through that bolts to the front of the trans .
i'm wondering if the pivot has been cut down ? becuase of the fact that you cant slide it out with out loosening the pivot bolt?
