I have a 700R4 transmission that is having some problems. I have installed a Stage 2 shift kit, Corvette shift servo, and an upgraded tv boost valve, an aftermarket cooler, and a 2500 stall converter. Now for the problem, the transmission is very sloppy. It seems like it has no main line pressure. From a dead stop it is slow to engage, and has no reverse. It seems like it goes into second but it is so soft you cant hardly tell if it does or not. I really don't think the clutches are bad, it seems like something else. I'm lost. Any help would be very beneficial. Thanks.

 

Check the boost valve. You may have installed the inner part upside down.
