How to measure concentricity?

Installing a new Centerforce clutch, instructions say to measure concentricity of the bellhousing bore.
According to the manufacturer I use my dial gauge mounted to the flywheel with a magnetiic base and rotate the crank.
Don't I have to get the dial gauge at exactly the crank center to take this measurement?
If that is the case, how exactly do I do this?
Thanks if you can help.
