Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 3.08 posi (4 now)
t400 or t350 depending on power outputs. The 400 is stronger and a little more reliable but, weighs more and is more drag. Depends if the 454 is stock or mild/built to the hilt.

You could also install a 4l60, 4l60e or the big gun, 4l80e. The 4l80e is basically an electronic version of the th400. Let your wallet and power output decide which is best for you.
