t56 swap clutch question
if you do a t56 swap and need a new clutch do you buy one that would fit the donor car with lt1 engine or one for 305 motor of year car the t56 is going in. since 3rd gens came with 5 speeds i believe i would have to buy one for the donor car right?

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
That would be correct. 93-97 Camaro/Firebird V8 would be the application to buy it for.
You'll also need the bolts that hold the clutch to the flywheel; the ones that the T-56 clutch uses, are about 2" long. Very different from the normal ones such as the T-5 clutch uses. You'll probably have to get those from GM.
