Trans lines leaking
My transmission lines are leaking right by the starter on my 3.1l v6. I'm hopefully going to replace the transmission sometime this year with a WC t-5. As I understand it I won't need these lines anymore when I replace the transmission so I would like to have a good reliable fix that will last me 1 - 2 yrs. Any ideas? Should I just cut the line and replace with rubber hose?

Just run rubber lines. I did that when I had my auto for about 3 years without a problem.
Make shure to flare the ends of the metal lines where they meet the rubber. This helps to prevent leaks later on and makes it a much cleaner install. If you don't have the tool, most places have it for their loan-a-tool program.

What he said - I did both of my lines with regular fuel line hose last summer (5/16" IIRC) but then found out that transmission cooler rubber hose is also available. I think it has a higher temperature and pressure rating. If you want several years out of this fix run your hand down both lines to try to find worn or flat areas and fix them now. I only fixed the one line that was leaking and a month later the other line went.

I took some fuel line I had sitting around, cut the line way after the hole then ran the line back up the line and just left all the crap metal line inside the rubber hose. Hose clamped it and that's that. Think I used 3/16's ID.
