what auto tranny for a engine that putts out 850 hp?
I am looking at buying a bbc that puts out a max of 850 hp what would be a good tranny that will handle this?
and second which would be a good rear end (12 blot or 9 in ford)?

i've heard good things about those Gear Vendors external overdrives, if youre interested in running the thing on the road for any kind of gas milage.

Transmission: Powerglide
Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
For a diff, you're going to need a 9" or a 12 bolt. Common street tranny is a well built TH400 however my Powerglide can easily handle that much power. Also with that much power, I only need 2 gears.
