T5 to TH350 Swap...almost understood

Ok, Ive done a lot of reading on previous swaps, but I still have a few questions left. I know how to solve the driveshaft, crossmember, and kickdown cable, but heres what I have left. 2 Sensors in my tranny right now, speedo and reverse lights correct? What do I do about those. Also, dipstick tube? And my biggest concern is shifter linkage. What about a flywheel, torque converter, and starter? Right now I have a stock 305, with T5 transmission. Any help appreciated

Thanks, Kevin

um why dont you just swap for a 700R4? your going to need at least sfc and that kinda stuff if your planning on geting enough power to need TH350 over a 700R4. it would be a LOT easier and a much better car to drive. esp if your gonna stay at a 305. even if ya go bigger you could get a 700R4 to handle close to 400Hp reliably with a well done rebuild for as much as a TH350 with all the swap parts needed plus its a strait switch.

Well I'm planning ahead. I'm building a 4 bolt 355 in my garage which will be ready for fall, but my T5 is on its way out now and wont last till then, so I'm trying to get the car ready for the power now, rather than throwing the motor in and suddenly having to throw together tranny stuff etc. etc...just figured I might as well do it now. I've already considered the 700r or staying with a rebuild T5, but I'm trying to get everything ready for the power I should have in the near future.

well main question is daily driver or fun car? if its a daily a TH350 will suck A$$ but if it is a fun car go for it. and seriously if ya need the extra strength of the TH350 you will need frame stiffeners and other mods first. cause if ya try to use that power you will ruin the car if ya do make it much stronger.

Don't let the kids scare you, lol.

You just need to address the neutral safety switch and speedo. Dip stick tubes are bendable/ servicable. I would stay under a 2800 convertor to start until you know where your powerband is at.
