Would this Torque Converter be fine?

Hopefully in about 2 weeks or so my tranny will be rebuilt and back in my car.. After saving for parts for the rebuild I am about out of money and need a torque converter. My dad has one that he bought for his camaro before he sold it and is gonna sell it to me if it will work with my tranny. It hasen't been installed on anything yet.

Rebuilt 30 Spline 2200-2600 Stall Lock-up convert.....box says 85 newer 700r4 w/ about 7 months left on the 1 year warranty. Thats all the info I have on it until I call him back later. I think he paid $250 im was gonna give him $150. Really its either this or buy a stock converter to go back in it.

This car will not see anything but weekend driving and the occasional trip to work.......this thing is not getting on any drag strips. I may occasionally play around town stop light to stop light but that will be about it. Right now im more into car shows and the look of the car. So would this one be fine until I can get a nicer one?

Tranny when done:

1986 tranny with Pro-built Street/Strip rebuild kit.
