will a v6 t5 work on a v8?

I have a t5 out of an 85 or 86 camaro v6 and I was wondering if it will work on a v8 car?

Yes, the V6 is a 16 spline and the V8 is a 26 spline, but if you use the V6 tranny you can only use a crappier clutch and 26 spline is better anyways. it can be done but its not worth it I promise you.

I had a 91 TA Vert that the previous owner installed a V6 T5 I ripped it apart in 3 days.
It took me two weeks to find a rebuildable V8 T5 WC core.

PS
I suppose if you don't drive like me it might last
