I have a peculiur problem that I can't seem to find an answer to.

I have a 700r4 in my GTA. When the it's cold it shifts perfectly fine. But when the tranny warms up it will no longer shift into 4th (OD). Cold shift is a nice shift around 50 mph, I believe.

Unfortunately I don't know what shift kit is in it, nor can I contact the guy that built it. I have no OD switch and assume there is a check valve in place for OD. I wouldn't know how to figure this out.

But this is really baffeling me. Thanks for your help.

 

Are you trying to shift into 4th gear with the throttle 100% depressed? As far as I know, I think you have to let off the throttle to about 2/3 and then it will shift into 4th. I believe they sell something to correct that problem. Maybe do a search. This may not be your problem, but I have had this problem before and that is what I learned. Good luck.

 

A kickdown kit from b&m fixes that problem. I think that is what your were thinking of?
