9 bolt carrier bearing
I found out today that the carrier bearing is bad on one side. It is the BW with 2.77 gears. Can one bearing be replaced or does the whole thing need to be done for $800?!?! I know rear ends are specialized work but could I do it myself? I am moving soon and don't have the money, can I run it for a short time and fix it after the move?

I would suggest reading the backlash befor removal and then replace both carrier side bearings asap (to avoid debri from getting into the other bearings) yes, you can do it your self but, alot of first timers need help removing and installing the bearings. as long as you keep the shims in the same location when removed you should be fine but, double check backlash when you are done.
this should cost you very little. be clean and pay attention to specific part locations and you will be fine
