No speed limiter, no. As for the top speed, someone said the speedo only goes to 85. Well mine is a factory 140 unit. *shrug*

I read somewhere that top speed for an L69 was 138. I doubt a stock LG4 could complete with that kind of speed.

had mine at well over 140 on a couple og occasions course it wasnt just the stock 305 when I had it. Plus manual valve body in the 700-r4 meant it wasn't doing that stupid half throttle downsift that they are notorious for.

i had a flowmaster cat-back and k&n replacement filter with the lid flipped when i did my runs. oh and a fresh set of plugs and oil change! that motor had 21x,xxx miles on it too! crazy with the 2.73 gears though i was in 3rd doing about 4000rmp and if i was easing into it in 4th @ about 2500-3000rpm! that was insane!

Speaking of the fullthrottle 4th gear downshift. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You get a new boost valve, I believe. A search will turn it up. Though you had better have done other stuff to the trans so it can take the abuse.
