Question about Pro 5.0's?
They're hard to find on ebay, but I'm wondering...
I know that you can't use a T5 from a Mustang in a thirdgen because the bellhousings are different, and our cants the transmission on an angle in our tunnel, but...
can we use a pro 5.0 meant for a T5 Mustang on our T5's?
I'm wondering if maybe the throw arm isn't long enough, or what?

Even if it will bolt up to the trans just fine, more than likely the shape of the shifter handle is all wrong (how its bent, etc) for an F-body.
Why not just look in the classifieds here, or hit up the local performance parts shop? Or even Summit?

no. this mustang trans stand up square, and the factory 3rd gen is laying half on its side, therefore the shifter wouldn't come up through the console. The bolt pattern is also different, as well as the surface height of the shifter mount. I was(no more T5) running a mustang T5 shifter in my bird WC T5, but I have a manual clutch and my trans stands up square. I used a piece of 1/4 aluminum and made an adapter plate to properly fit the shifter, but again, you'd have to have the trans standing up square....
