wot in 4th

can i go wot in 4th with out a b4c upshift valve

i am afraid that if i get a b4c upshift valve i might use it to much

i was thinking that if i unhook the kick down cable and manually shift thru the gears might work

i only want to do this once to prove to a friend that constantly makes fun of me for topping out at 118 gps verified that i do have the power to accelerate in 4th

...if you unhook the kick-down cable and drive you risk trashing the trans because if it doens't know you're at WOT it doesn't raise the line pressure in the trans, thus everything has less pressure and can slip easily. Also, unless you have a decently built trans, acceleration in 4th gear can drive you right out of a clutch pack....
- that said, unhook the detent cable, but pull it out partially and tie it off(somehow, without hurting the cable). - You also might want to lock the converter up at the top of 3rd.....

Without the line pressure boost from the TV(Throttle Valve) cable(not kickdown like on older trannys), you WILL fry your tranny. Also, IIRC, the WOT 4th gear function is in the valve body and not a direct function of the TV cable.

Also, if you are going 118 on public roads, you're an idiot.
