What o you recomend for Trans fluid?

I read somewhere yesterday that Synthetic Fluid is not good for Automatic trannys. The article actually recomended using the various manufacturers fludis. I.E GM's versin of Dexron. Is there any truth to this? What are you all useing? I use Mobil 1 in the engine and I swear by it.

just run regular dexron III. - whatever brand you like. The synthetics tend to allow clutch slippage. I've had trans' that had problems, switched to regular fluid and work fine. - as for manual trans, a buddy just switched his 10k TKO over to Royal purple and developed a 2-3 grind. Switched back to GM sychro and grind was gone....

- personally, I won't run sythetics in anything. After taking my motor down after 150k, it look like new inside, shell 15w40 it's whole life.- did intake gaskets on my uncle's 88 TPI 305 @ 130k. Mobil 1 it's whole life, 2500-3k oil changes religiously and you should'a seen the gunk in the cam valley...plus, I've seen it take the lobes off of 4 cams(twin engine boat, new motors, new cams, wiped lobes off of 2 sets of cams)....

- seems everyone has a different opinion, thats just mine. - I've beat the crap out of so many motors on regular oil with no problems that I can't justify sythentics.
