Alright, itll be hard for me to find my camaro just how i want it..either 305 HO or 350 TPI or anything faster than a 305 with a 5 speed..so I ask..

How hard is it to really swap a tranny from AT to Manual in like a 305 HO or 350 etc etc..how much woul dit cost..time..etc.? Thanks guys..(noob)

 

It's a popular enough swap, if you search you'll get all the details. You have to cut the floor of the car and the firewall up a bit to mount the clutch and shifter.

 

I believe there is a tech article that goes through the process and it is not difficult just takes a little time. About 450 up for a swap with all the parts. I paid 450 for one with 60k miles and cost me about 100 in travel to pick it up. Now probably not going to use it as I decided to go lt1 and t56 instead of the tpi/t5.

If you are looking for a thirdgen just keep an eye out here and ebay and you can find what you want. Still a lot out there and I can not afford them all so will have to leave some for others to love.
