Should I use my Mcleod clutch
I was just reading an article, and i'm questioning wether or not to use this clutch I just bought. I have a pretty stout 355 and I had no problems with the transmission before. I didn't put that much mileage on it, and when I took it apart I found a valeo clutch disc in it. I was amazed that it worked as good as it did.
The clutch is a street/strip version thunder racing sells it, it has a segmented disc with 6 pads I think. I read that using a clutch this type puts a lot of stress on a transmission, because of the initial jerk, if you shift fast and let up on the clutch fast. I consider myself good at driving stick and i'm not going to be abusing the car that much. When I beat on it, I know how to shift properly. I'm also using a lightweight flywheel. thanks

thanks man, I appreciate it. I just wont be able to afford to rebuild the trans his summer, and I can't affort to have the car off the road to service it. I went throught the whole trans myself, it should hold up till I build my next motor.
