700r4 transmission question

Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.73 Disc Brakes
700r4 transmission question

well i have an 1984 pontiac firebird with the carb 2.8l with the 700r4 trans. well i was thinking about swapping the 2.8l with a 305. will my current trany bolt up to the 305? If not what will work?

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 3.73 eaton posi unit
The 2.8 trans will not interchange with your 305,you will need a trans from a 700r4 from a v8 car.

Transmission: Built 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.70 9 bolt
the 700r4 doesn't necessarly need to be from a v8 car....large v6 have the right 700r4. it just needs to be from a 90 degree block...like all v8 cars. the 2.8 has a 60 degree block

will the 700r4's from the v-8 car bolt in to the car with no problem?
