B&M Holeshot 2400?

I found a good deal on one but I'm worried about not being an upgrade over stock. Any comments or ideas? I was sort of hoping to get a 3000rpm one, but this is a weekend street driver so I want power and to be streetable.

A friend broke one when he got to low 13's. It came apart inside the convertor and started rattling.
