Tv Cable Location
I orderd the parts I needed to get my car running on friday, tuesday they will be coming in. So im trying to get everything in as best of order as I can so it will make it a breeze to put my engien back in and start up.
I have one question thats bugging the crap out of me, where does the tv cable attach to the transmission at? I bought an adjustable one so I want to take my old one off. I cant seem to find the location! ahhh!
*edit*
my trans is a 700r4

yes passenger side. havent had my 700r4 apart yet but i know for sure my th350c had to have the pan off to change the kickdown cable. I imagine its a similar linkage on the 700r4.

ah damn, alright thank you! Im on a really really tight budget as it is, I cant afford to buy trans fluid/filter/gasket yet, hopefully my stock tv cable works with my performer rpm intake @_@

it can be changed without dropping the pan but you will have to lower the crossmember either way to be able to get to the bolt that holds it to the tranny. the most difficult part is getting the cable on the hook itself. if it is factory hook, it shouldn't be a problem.

Awesome, that sounds a lot easier than what I was expecting. The transmission's been rebuilt but that was before I owned the car. I dont know if it has a factory hook or not.
My one question is.. My engine is out of my car at the moment.. I have a jack underneath the tranmission holding it up. If I take the crossmember off, how far is safe when im lowering the trans with my jack?
