Transmission feeling from 1st to 2nd shift - Need Advice
I notice that when my car shifts from 1st into 2nd gear, sometimes the entire car will shake and vibrate and make a very loud clunk/grinding noise that can be felt thru the floorboard. It will only do it when the throttle is at a certain position during shifts. It will not do it during WOT shifts nor will it do it if I let off the gas a little right before the 1st to 2nd shift. I originally thought it was my transmission mount was bad and that when it shifted it would move the transmission up towards the floorpad during shifts, because the entire car shafts in the process. So I replaced my mount with a Lakewood Polyurathane mount and it still does the same thing, problem NOT solved. When I removed the old mount, it was indeed damaged. The transmission is a 700R4 with a shift kit. Shift kit was not installed by me. Any suggestions of what the problem could be or maybe a solution. Thank you in advance.

Could it be that the TV cable isn't adjusted properly?
Also, what are the two different cable on my stock shifter? Where are they routed to and can I bolt up a 1992 shifter assembly in my 1985? 700R4
