Trans Am GTA 89 limited diff. cover
Hi,
I ve a Trans Am GTA V8 5.7 TPI from 1989.
My limited diff is leaking oil..
this diff. is still orginal, its time to reseal it with a new gasket...
Does anyone know a site where i can get it ?
What's type of diff do i have ?
I counted 9-bolts... what's part number of the gasket ?
Then ONE important question, how much OIL should i fill in this diff ??
till the plastic plug ?
Thanks for your help !

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Just use the kind of gasket that come in a tube.
Yes, fill until it reaches the fill plug. Should take about 2 quarts or maybe slightly more.

I dissagree, go to atuozone or checkers and buy a gasket. Their like 7 bucks and then use some blue rtv to help it out. And it take about 1 1/2 quarts. Look at it this way..if gm used a gasket then so should you.
