T-56 users, what fluid do you use??

Axle/Gears: 4.10 stk 10 bolt
T-56 users, what fluid do you use??

I was told by a tranny guy to use Royal Purple Syncromesh (sp) its suppost to be better for the syncro's. Any thoughts?

Transmission: Tremec T56
Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
That works but its more expensive. I use regular ATF. Do not use any kind of gear oil. That is not compatible with the synchros.

Plain old Dexron III ATF in mine....

mobile 1 synthetic dextron III ATF
or
Honda ATF.

both of them work great, and the car shifts noticably nicer with them.

if you get the royal purple stuff, DONT get the manual trans stuff... its thick and ment to replace gear oil style manual trans oil.... its not ment for ATF type manual transmissions... they do make a ATF for that though.

Yea, I knew that, It even says on the syncromesh bottle thats its for ATF fluid trannys only. Thanks.

cool. thats the stuff then.
didnt mean to insult you or anything.. its just that there are atleast two kinds that i know of...

considering what a great improvement i got from the other two synthetic ATFs i used, im sure it will work great.

i use the r/p and love it. shifts so much better then reg atf. well worth the money, but then again i only use syn. engine oil also
