Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
No reason the T-56 won't bolt to a 383, same as it would to a 305 or 350. All the same swap issues (or lack of them) would apply.

Everthing bolts up just fine, one thing you want to keep an eye out for is the aftermarket 1 pc rear main crank. On my cast steel Eagle 383 crank, it seems to stick ever-so-slightly futher out the back than the stock crank. This has caused me to have T-56 clutch fork issues with rubbing on the pressure plate when the clutch is pressed all the way in. I did some minor clearencing on the clutch fork with a grinder, and it seemed to take care of the problem. Just a thing I noticed on my 383 and T-56.
