I swapped the motor and trans. from an '87 van into my '92 camaro. I drove the van about 80 miles back to my house and never had any problems. The transmission shifted great and never slipped or anything.

Ever since I put it in my camaro, it won't shift into drive when you floor it, the motor just redlines like the transmission is slipping real bad. Around town it acts like it won't go into all the gears most of the time, especially overdrive. I have to downshift it manually alot to keep it from dying, or just to keep it moving even.

I adjusted the tv cable. The transmission fluid level is good.

My car was doing this same thing before the swap, which is 50% of the reason behind replacing it in the first place. The manual I have doesn't say crap about what the problem could be, any ideas?
