Axle/Gears: 3.73

Driveshaft Swap

I have an aluminum driveshaft out of an 88 IROC 350. I tried to bolt it in my 86, and the u-joint on the driveshaft was a different size and wouldn't bolt up to my rear. I know the 88 had a Borg-Warner rear and I have a GM 10 bolt. Is there a special u-joint that I can use?

So... noboby has ever put an aluminum driveshaft on a 10 bolt (not a 9 bolt B-W) rear?

You might want to check and make sure both your bearing caps are completely seated on the u-joint because both the 9 and the 10 bolts use the exact same u-joint.
