T5 shifter problems

For some reason the shifter in my car doesnt work while the car is on. When it is off the shifter moves freely through all 5 gears including reverse and the walls are there. When the engine is running, gears 1,4, and 5 NEVER work. Gears 2 and 3 have to be beaten into gear. Reverse grinds when trying to put it into gear, WITH THE CLUTCH FULLY PRESSED, and has to be thrown into gear and then the car jumps. While driving, you can get it into first gear but its a bitch, and sometimes the gears dont catch even when in the exact spot, as if they move??? lol, and ALL the gears are VERRY difficult to get in gear. I think my clutch is fine, not sure tho, supposedly it is a high performance racing clutch, and it catches fine. can someone PLEASE help!!!!

Not a shifter problem.

Not a transmission problem.

It's a clutch problem.

Most likely, incorrect assembly.

When you put your clutch fork and throwout bearing together, which of these 2 pictures did it look like?

It's a very common mistake, so that's a good place to start.
