Transgo Jr. Shift Kit Install Question
This is a repost under a different title to hopefully get advice from somebody that has some experience with these.
I have a Trango Jr. Shift kit that has been lying around awhile and am looking at installing it. The question I have is that the green spring that comes in the kit for the PR Valve is missing. This is the spring that it talks about using in Step 1 of the instructions. Also from what I remember the TV Boost Valve doesn't come with that kit. So should I still go through the trouble of installing this? What would installing this using the stock spring do? Should I go get another Jr. Kit? What would the result be if I did this kit along with the B&M shift improver kit? I have read that nobody thinks the B&M kit should be installed in the 700r4. I had a B&M kit in a previous car with a 700r4 and I loved the shifts.
The car has a ton of overlap between 2-3 and 3-4. I don't notice this problem when accelerating normally. I really notice this when under heavy acceleration. You can watch (and feel) the RPM's go up by 500RPM or more from the time it starts to shift, til the time it actually switches to the next gear.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
