Driveshaft length

I'm in the middle of a 6 inch tailshaft th350 swap and was wondering if anyone knew how long the driveshaft needs to be, is it just 3 inches longer? Also with my B&M torque arm mount it says I need some other outter torque arm mount and gives a GM part number. So I went to the dealership and they have 2 different ones and they don't know which one I need. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

i believe that the two torque arm mounts are as follows, the torque arm its self has 2 "lips" formed on the end one style has the "lips facing the driver side, the other, passenger side. as for the driveshaft, you need to measure the distance between the centerlines of the trans yoke u-joint and the pinion yoke u-joint

For the 6" tailshaft TH350, you can use the driveshaft that came in the 82-83 f-bodies with the metric 200 tranny (3 speed auto). It's close enough for the proper length.

from center of ujoint to other ujoint is 44.5 inches. You dont need to get another torque arm mount. You take your old one and grind the ridges for it to fit into the B&M kit.

if you woulda gotten a 9" tail th350 then you coulda used an easy to find 700r4 t-5 D shaft
