Which tranny jack?

I've got to install a new clutch and I figured I would invest in a tranny jack adaptor to help with the process. I bought this adapter that is supposed to fit on top of your jack at Northern Tools.
Hydraulic Jack Into Transmission Jack Converter — 440-Lb. Capacity | Transmission Jacks | Northern Tool + Equipment

The adapter has a 1 5/32" pin that inserts down into the area where the saddle is. Well I have a horrizontal pin on my craftsman jack that interfears with the adapter jack. You can see the upper most pin near the saddle in this pic.

My question is, should I buy this transmission jack?
Northern Industrial Tools Roll Under Transmission Jack — 1000-Lb. Capacity | Transmission Jacks | Northern Tool + Equipment

Or should I buy another jack that the adapter will fit?

Would the transmission jack help in the removal of the rearend? Or would two regular jacks be better around the garage?

I would probably get the adapter and a regular jack that will fit it. That way you have 2 floor jacks and a tranny jack when you need it.

A 2X6 and some muscle. If you want, come get me, and I'll pull that sucker and put it in for what you'd pay for the jack (yes I'm serious). 5 spd trannys are light...like really light, the l;ast time I did one on teh ground, I just sat it on my chest, shmmied under the car, and slid it up onto the output shaft and had a buddy put the two lower bellhousing bolts in.

Thanks FbodTrek

I already stopped by Sears when I was helping estone06 today. I picked this jack up. My adapter fit just fine when the saddle is removed.

BTW what kind of work do you do? Do you weld? I may buy SFC's in the near future.

I'm an auto mechanic actually
I have a big Miller 250 welder, but it's out back in the shop, and inaccesible to cars (used for industrial fab work)
