tranny problem

i went to dyno my car last night, and when i start off, i hard a nasty pop noise and the car stop moving, my over drive was gone, but i still have drive and reverse, and 1 and 2, in my 700 r4, i heard a modeul might have gone bad, or a vaccum line, can someone help please thanks chris

Losing 3rd and 4th is the typical way that they die. No vacuum goes to the trans. The only electronics in the unit are the lock up solenoid and a pressure switch or 2. These do not relate to your problem though. Sounds like rebuild time.

i think the shift linkage, maybe bent, i think its a 700 r4, im not sure what other tranny that can bolt to a 350 th 350 i think not sure what about that one

I am not sure what you are trying to say.
Are you asking if the trans you have now is a 700r4?
Or are you asking if a trans other than a 700r4 can be swapped in?

its i dont know if its a 700 r4 or the th350, does anyone pictures of both trannys. im hoping the tranny is not going bad, it just sucks not to have overdrive,

but im glad i got the ohter gears

If you have overdrive, it's a 700R4.

i can , drive the car just in drive, and it wont hurt the tranny it shifts fine, i got all gears but overdrive, so i can save to get it rebuilt

Normally, 3rd soon fails after fourth. If I were you, I would drive it. The end result is a trans swap. You will likely not damage it worse that it already is in regard to rebuild. Keep your triple a card handy though. It could last a mile, or a few hundred miles.

i think if i drive it normal and not speed i think it will be fine, i checked the fuild and its still good, and i dont have triple a, i drove it for a while today, and its running better then it has been before. i think it will be fine. along as i baby it and not abuse it

will the pressure switch make the trans gasket leak my trans shifts good /when trans sets over 3 hours it starts leaking at base/dont leak while running /i have a new gasket &pan i just dont know can some one give advice please
