Need driveshaft recommendation
See my sig for engine specs. I haven't had the car to the dyno yet, but the 400 is thumping out some serious power. I just shelled my u-joints tonight. I don't know anything about driveshafts. As far as will they hold up to my engine, will a stock aluminum one from an LS1 car be strong enough, or do I need one with aftermarket U-joints? I don't competetively race the car, it is just a street car, but when I drive it, I do like to cut loose with it from time to time. Will somebody please make a recommendation for me. I know I could probably buy the really expensive one from Spohn, but what will be the best bang for my buck?
Thanks,
Eric

A stock driveshaft is probably fine.
Those Flowtechs are probably killing enough power to keep you from hurting anything anyway.

If you get one custom made, get it made from 3" x .083" steel tube. 1330 spicer u-joint yokes should be more than enough but if you upgrade everything to use the 1350 u-joints, you'll never break anything. A u-joint upgrade means you need to get the driveshaft made with 1350 full round ends. The transmission and differential should also get 1350 yokes however conversion u-joints can be used until everything is upgraded.
