1.) While drag racing my, Do I Start the car in 1st, then shift too 2nd? Or do i keep it in D or Circled D?

2.) What type of HP can the Stock 700R4 Handle?

just leave it in overdrive ( d with circle). with the stock shifter, its to hard to shift from 1st to 2nd without accidently going into 3rd or drive. a lot of people say that if you drive it like a manual, you will get quicker ets. i personaly havent tried, im going to get a different shifter first. i would like for people to comment if they have got quicker times manually shifting

a stock 700r4 can usually handle around 300 or a little over ft lbs. about the same for hp too. can be made to handle around 800 ft lbs.

shift kit is a great idea. some say not so if you are going to mainly street drive.

i just put a billet servo in my trans, i love it. wasnt very expensive, and the difference in shifts is great. it doesnt change shift points it just makes them a little snappier
