ecm lock up

Transmission: Rebuilt 700R4,vette servo,2200stall
Axle/Gears: 2.73 Posi
ecm lock up

ive just bought a non cc q-jet and it already had a vacuum advanced distributor... i was wondering if i have to get a lock up kit or can i leave the ecm just for the tranny and can i just disconnect the ecm if i have to get a lock up kit

Transmission: 700r4 6L60E
Axle/Gears: 2.42 too high
the ECM needs a RPM, TPS & speed signal to lockup the TCC, & it may also need a MAP signal too.

you will need to get a lockup kit.

one of them will have what you need.

with out a C-3 carb or ECM controlled timing, the computer is pretty much useless, you can unplug it.

It will run hot without lock up. You could also do a simple 1 wire lock up(4th gear only) if you like. Cheap and easy to do with decent drivability. My own car has it and I like it.
