OK first you need to get a stall converter like 3500 rpms and put that in and then you should get like a good posi rear like 3.73 or 4.11 gears man that thing will rip and of course some good tires because with all that power you're gonna spin them like crazy and maybe a helmet too in case you wreck

I hate run-on sentences, don't you!

Another reason might be that the power off the line is kinda slow, depends on what kind of intake it is. Single or dual plane. Usually the dual planes generate all the power from around 2000 and up rpms.

Like Lo-tec said, 3.73s willl be fine, and if you dont have a stall converter, well it'll definately help, but im suprised you're not having issues with your power brakes with all the vacumn the cam is sucking up.

what kind of cam do you have with .510 lift and 234 @.050 I'm just kind of curious which brand it is. I have a .507, .510 with 240, 246 @.050. A 3000 stall converter works just fine for me. I use 3.73 gears in the rear and at 60 mph my rpms are about 2500 with 26 inch tires.

The cam is made by comp cams and the set up u said sounds good. One question is the way u have it good for street.

2800-3200 stall would be about right, but I wouldn't use a 4.11 gear. Thats just too much IMO. You'll just run out of gear too fast... 3.73 would be a much better idea.

Summit racing, Jegs, or Randy's Ring and Pinion are a few to look at.

Summit and Jeg's are right there by you in Ohio. So it would also get there pretty fast.

Or you could even just visit them, and drive home with it.

They are not bad at all on the highway... should be around 3000 w/o overdrive... overdrive will be a good bit lower.
