Hi everyone..Well, when I jacked up my car from the back to work on the fuel line, I noticed drops of tranny fluid on the floor. I had the rear wheels on stands for a week and it turned into a puddle of tranny fluid. Any suggestions on where to start looking? Whats the best way to jack the car up from the front to take a good look at the transmission? Im thinking its the pan gasket, but I would like your thoughts first as well...thanks!

well dude, i was told that trannies are very finiky.. so if you are going to be touching it, do so carfully. with that said, i have no idea how to fix it, but since its leaking when you tip it up, it could also be leaking when you drive it (stoping, hills etc) so if your going to continue to drive it make sure you keep a close eye on your tranny fluid. im sure you thought of this, but it not i thought i would save you from a total meltdown

 

lol yeah...well heres an update, i had time today to work on the car. I let the car idle and i looked under the tranny for a few mins i saw tiny drops leaking, it wasnt much, maybe a drop a minute, but it doesnt look like its leaking from the pan...instead its leaking like 6 inches away from the pan towards the front...i guess close to the engine oil pan? Any ideas? COuld it be the torque converter? Thanks
