SLP's instructions say you are supposed to cut two grooves in the housing for oiling purposes. Will it hurt anything to not disassemble the WHOLE rearend to cut the notches? I know i wont get the extra oiling benefits but is it worth it?
It is an AAM cover bought thru SLP. SLP seems to think the rearend will burn up if i dont do the mod. Are they serious? How can it be any different than stock?
