Torqe Bar to Tranny connector/adapter HUH?
Torqe Bar to Tranny connector/adapter HUH?
I have a th350 transmission in my 1992 Camaro. The bar coming from the rear axle that connects (somehow) to the transmission is called the torque bar, right? Anyway what it the part called that goes in between the transmission and the bar? I am having a hard time finding one on the order sites cause I have no clue what it is called. The th350 transmission has three bolt holes that run all the way through it from side to side. I assume that all three bolts holes attach to this unknown named item and then it attaches to the bar coming from the real axle/differential. PLEASE HELP ME!
Also, the th350 transmission has been converted from the rotary style speedometer cable to an electronic speedometer connector. I need to change this back to the rotary style....what's the name of this too if you know.
thanks so much for all the help you guys have given me. I wouldn't even have made it this far if it wasn't for all your assistance. I plan on posting pics when I get done with this car.

I made a typo in the year of the camaro I have....it's a 1982 not a 1992...don't know if that makes a difference in the question/answer or not

it is the front torque bar mount. Holds the rubber insert on the end of the torque bar. Also called a rear cat mount as it attaches to the cat convertor. I bought a new one from a Chevy dealer, but I cannot find the part number or reciept. Sorry I cannot help much, maybe someone else can.Cannot help you on the trans speedo, maybe check the search on this forum. Badman
