T5 problem

The past few days I have noticed a problem with my T5. When shifting from 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th under moderate to heavy throttle, the rpms go way up, but the car does not accelerate then the rpms slowly come down and the car picks up speed. It almost seems like the clutch isn't fully disingaging at first. It kinda drives like an auto tranny that is low on fluid. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks.

Close....

Although actually, the problem is that the clutch is failing to ENGAGE.

It needs a new clutch.

If it's been doing that for very long, it has also overheated the flywheel and destroyed the metal it's made of; which will need to be resurfaced or replaced.
